Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
Transfer the rolled-out dough to a pizza stone or a baking sheet.
Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
Arrange the sliced mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
Place the sliced tomatoes on top of the cheese.
Season the pizza with salt and pepper to taste.
Drizzle a little extra virgin olive oil over the top.
Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
Once out of the oven, scatter fresh basil leaves over the hot pizza.
