Ingredients
  

  • 1 pizza dough homemade or store-bought
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup fresh mozzarella cheese sliced
  • 2-3 fresh tomatoes thinly sliced
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Extra virgin olive oil

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  • Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  • Transfer the rolled-out dough to a pizza stone or a baking sheet.
  • Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  • Arrange the sliced mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
  • Place the sliced tomatoes on top of the cheese.
  • Season the pizza with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Drizzle a little extra virgin olive oil over the top.
  • Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
  • Once out of the oven, scatter fresh basil leaves over the hot pizza.
  • Let it cool for a couple of minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy your delicious Pizza Margherita!
